UVA RAYS FROM SUN PROVEN TO CAUSE SKIN CANCER AND AGING
Studies have shown that 80% of aging is caused by exposure to UVA rays, which penetrate the skin more deeply than UVB rays. UVA rays have also been known to cause skin cancer. Every Plastic Surgery Consultation Should Include a Discussion about Safety
Choosing to have plastic surgery is a major decision in anyone's life. In a recent survey of nearly 2300 women with breast implants, published in Aesthetic Surgery Journal (official publication of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery), the average length of time spent considering breast augmentation before actually undergoing the surgery was about five years. For most women surveyed, the decision appears to have been the right one: 92 percent reported an improvement in their overall appearance and 82 percent said they felt more self-confident as a result of their surgery.

RECORD TURNOUT FOR CLIENT APPRECIATION DAY
Once again, our Client Appreciation Day was a huge success!
On April 17th, both new and established patients gathered to learn about all of the services available at The Peer Group, including our new laser treatments. Our surgeons, nurses and skin care consultants were also on hand to answer questions regarding surgical procedures and skin care. Patients were treated to a Visia complexion analysis which clearly shows the toll that the sun, smoking and time can take on the skin without proper care.
Patients received a 15% discount on skin care products while enjoying a vast array of snacks and taking their chance at a raffle. Congratulations to Patti Benedetti and Carole Ramsey, the two lucky winners who took home baskets filled with skin care products from Obagi® and La Roche-Posay.
