SAVE THE DATE: Free CPE Expo for Members Only – June 14!
For the past five years we’ve given back to our wonderful Chapter members in the form of an all-day Free CPE Expo. Well, we’re doing it again! A task force is currently working on the lineup, but please mark your calendar for Thursday, June 14. The location will be the Frank Fickett Scout Training and Service Center. Keep your eyes peeled in the next few weeks for a separate email about the Expo. Remember: This free, 8-hour CPE event is exclusively for Austin Chapter members, so be sure to pay your TSCPA membership dues!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: New CPA Swearing-In Ceremony
Remember how smoothly the ceremony went when you were sworn in as a CPA? You have volunteer CPA ushers to thank for that lovely experience. The New CPA Swearing-In Ceremony is among the most fun and rewarding service projects the Chapter does all year. Nominate Best CFO of the Year!
The Austin Business Journal’s fifth annual awards program honoring the area’s outstanding CFOs is now accepting nominations. Awards will be given in the following five categories: Public Company CFO, Small Private Company CFO (2011 revenue up to $10 million), Medium Private Company CFO (2011 revenue from $10 to $49 million), Large Private Company CFO (2011 revenue from $49 million plus) and Nonprofit CFO (2011 total gross receipts).
